Kayleigh Ratashak

Counselor, MS, LMHC (she/they)

Hi there! I specialize in working with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent adults, as well as those navigating personality disorders, complex trauma (CPTSD), and addiction recovery. With a comprehensive background in Partial Hospitalization Programing (PHP) and Intensive Outpatient Programming (IOP) levels of care, as well as being certified in somatic therapy for Complex Trauma Treatment (CCTP-II) , I bring both clinical expertise and deep compassion to the work I do.

My approach blends Internal Family Systems (IFS), a feminist and anti-capitalist framework, and somatic and mindfulness practices to help you reconnect with yourself and your body. I see therapy as a place to challenge internalized messages from capitalism and white supremacy that say your worth depends on productivity, perfectionism, or self-erasure. Instead, we work to cultivate rest, joy, and authentic self-expression as acts of healing.

In our sessions, you can expect a warm but direct embrace — a space that offers both safety, playfulness, and at times, a challenge. We will explore patterns of attachment and relating, practice rupture-and-repair skills, and build confidence in facing life’s difficulties without having to hide parts of yourself or conform to conventional standards of success. Together, we’ll use Dialectical Behavioral Therapy skills, somatic tools, and creative exploration to regulate emotions, deepen relationships, and live with greater integrity and self-trust.

Creativity and community are central to my approach. I love helping clients explore new ways of expressing themselves, finding belonging, learning to navigate and thrive while existing in a chaotic and unjust world, all while cultivating interdependence with the people around them. My goal is to create a space where you feel deeply supported, seen, and empowered to grow — at your own pace, and on your own terms, while also working to create a life that feels congruent, connected, and rooted in community.

Education and Background

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor. I graduated with a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from the University of North Florida in 2023. During my time at UNF and throughout my career thus far, I have worked in the PHP/IOP levels of care for addiction and comorbid conditions, allowing me to understand the impact that quality, intensive care can have for individuals with complex mental health concerns. I have an extensive background in group facilitation for adults and am passionate about providing digestible yet comprehensive psychoeducation to the community.
